Did you know that the #1 fear in the world today is public speaking? It's true. Most people would rather stand in a room full of snakes snakes than speak in front of a crowd. Well, The Young Speakers Society will help you turn that fear into fuel! The Young Speakers Society is an organization that helps young adults master their public speaking skills. It teaches young adults how to speak with confidence and authority.
Whether you are giving a graduation speech, or interviewing for a job, communicating with friends or preparing for theater, this training will enable youth to build self-esteem and learn how to effectively represent yourself with excellent communication skills.
When you join the YSS you are now entering into a nationwide network of young speakers and trainers from around the world. Enjoy city wide trainings as well as national conferences all designed to help cultivate your speaking aspirations.
Members will help students will learn how to prepare and deliver formal and informal speeches. How to overcome stage fright and build confidence in the process. Students will walk away with an increased ability to articulate their ideas, arguments and thoughts.
Dion, a certified motivational speaker and teacher, draws the students into all of the possibilities effective public speaking can hold. He is truly inspirational and provides a comfortable setting for students to develop their skills.
Students will be participating in 2 videotaped sessions and one live performance, where they can see themselves in action. Because Dion instills in the students the power of teamwork, all feedback is positive and constructive. This powerful combination has helped increase self-esteem, confidence and grades for numerous youth who have participated in the Young Speakers Society training.
