I am a teacher at Tom McCall as well as a mother of a handicapped child that attends here as well. My daughter Makenna has a
story that has the same underlying traits and meaning. You may have seen her in a three wheeled scooter yesterday. You met
her exactly where she needed to be met. Her two comments after the assembly were "I hope others were listening and getting it
the way I was," and "I could do what Mr. Jordan is doing some day and make a difference for a kid like me." She is the
Goodwill Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and does a lot of speaking engagements. This is an area that she
would like to pursue in the future. Have you ever considered mentoring others to get into your field of work? I know she is
only 11, but planning a future can never start too early. What better place to start than with someone who has experienced
similar things as you and overcome them? Can you tell me the name of your book? Makenna is interested in reading it. Her
birthday is November 11th - would you be willing to autograph a copy of your book if I sent it to you? I thought it was
important for you to know that you touched at least one child directly and I saw her friends look over and smile at her a
couple of times. Thank you for inspiring her and others.

"Words can't describe what an impact you made on our Team Members! Almost everyone at the meeting went out of their way to tell me how much they enjoyed your presentation. One of the servers at the hotel asked me if our meeting was going to continue after lunch, one of the Team Members spoke up and said "I'll only go back in if they bring back the speaker." My career with State Farm has spanned 37 years, and this was the BEST meeting I've been to.
